 BUSINESS ANALYST
Candidate will perform detailed research and analysis and develop plans and approaches to address complex business problems incorporating information from a variety of data sources. Candidate will frequently interact with executives and senior management on matters concerning strategic business planning. Translate complex (sometimes technical) data into actionable knowledge for senior level decision making. Create a variety of products, to include analytical writing and formal presentations. Provide expertise on how government agencies conduct business development. The candidate’s decisions and recommendations have a direct effect on client’s strategic business planning and execution. Work directly with various client components to identify and validate opportunities, risks, and increase situational awareness of relevant issues.
REQUIRED EDUCATION/SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s degree engineering, business, political science, international affairs, economics, or another humanities or science discipline. Advanced degree preferred.
- 5-10 years experience.
- Demonstrated ability to perform detailed research and analysis, and data mining and visualization.
- Thorough understanding of how business development occurs in government agencies.
- Demonstrated ability to set priorities, goals and deadlines in a fast-paced work environment and determine how to plan and accomplish the work to meet the requirement on time.
- Ability to discern specified and implied tasks from within complex and ambiguous requirements.
- Demonstrated experience in independent handling of a wide range of complex tasks that required extensive knowledge and experience in research and analysis.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment to identify and prescribe alternative courses of action when required.
- Demonstrated experience in leading and coordinating projects, teams, tasks and initiatives and building and using collaborative networks within and outside the immediate organization.
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert for clients, providing high-level recommendations and solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and research complex problems.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with a variety of analytic methods.
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment with experts in a variety of fields and from a variety of government agencies and private organizations.
- Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, with a willingness to work and learn, and the ability to work under pressure.
- Experience with formal writing and preparing and presenting formal briefings.
- Candidate must be able to acquire a Secret Security Clearance.
 ENGINEER
Candidate will perform highly complex technical, economic, and financial studies and analyses of market trends; implement consulting strategy and develop client deliverables; supervise junior consultants. Translate complex technical data into actionable knowledge for senior level decision making. Establish the overall objectives and initiatives of client engagement. Work with the client to identify opportunities and strategies for product development and product/process enhancements. Analyze data gathered, develop information, and consider available solutions or alternate methods of proceeding. Assess and quantify potential opportunities and competitive risks. Ability to take ownership of strategic and operational analytics problems, overcome technical hurdles with own research and produce results with limited oversight. Provide engineering expertise to other employees where needed. Position requires a passion for data-driven decision making and truly enjoying the discovery of hidden insights and trends. Candidate will frequently interact with executives and senior management on matters concerning strategic engineering and business planning. Candidate will report to the CEO and Chief Engineer.
REQUIRED EDUCATION/SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, or physics. Advanced degree preferred.
- 8-12 years experience working in engineering position.
- Demonstrated expertise in a variety of engineering concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to research and analyze complex markets and develop knowledge that provides insight into new opportunities/directions for the client.
- Exceptional attention to detail and an appetite for problem-solving.
- Strong analytical and management skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret client’s business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
- Ability to collaborate with Subject Matter Experts to establish a technical vision for the client.
- Exemplary communication skills (both written and oral) evidenced by background in preparing comprehensive reports, briefings, and executive summaries incorporating complex, highly technical information.
